C’est la Fashion Week #NYFW
Since it was Fashion Week there were so many events happening on Saturday. But one that I was really looking forward to was the Maybelline Master Class at Samsung 837 with Desi Perkins and Katy. They are two huge Youtubers who specialize in makeup and they partnered with Maybelline to release their new makeup set. I made it there a little late but didn’t miss much as I watched them show the audience their fave ways and some tricks they use while doing their makeup.
After the master class they came upstairs to have a meet and greet with some guests. My friend joined me shortly thereafter and we ventured upstairs where they had makeup stations where people could get their makeup done as well as a Maybelline vending machine that shuttled down a free mascara when you tweeted a customized Maybelline statement.
We had another event to get to, so we started to walk out but I noticed the FarFetch truck that was handing out free coffee for Fashion Week. Unfortunately when I got there they told me they were done for the day even though it was only 2:30 pm and it wasn’t supposed to leave until 4 pm, imagine my annoyance.
We trekked through the rain a couple of blocks to the Refinery29 x Dr. Jarts event for 3:30 pm. After checking in we were seated at a juice bar which had juices named after the new Dr. Jarts #ShakeandShot masks that were released. The juices were really good and soon after we were led to a back room where they had different stations set up. There was a collage station, a create your own hat station and a screen print a tote station. They had great music playing to set the scene and we got started. I made it to every station and even though we know I’m not the most creative person I tried lol. On the way out I got another juice shot and they gave us a Dr. Jarts #ShakeandShot mask which goes for about $12 in Sephora. Even with all the rain it turned out to be a great day, view some pics below from the events as well as some of the products I received.
