Home Chef - Creamy Mushroom and Kale Tortellini

I am back with another Home Chef recipe. I haven’t consistently ordered boxes because of the holiday season, but I’m back babyyyy. This week my first meal was Creamy Mushroom and Kale Tortellini which I was extremely excited for because I am a pasta lover. This specific dish was $9.95/serving, of which I had two. I chose to leave the mushrooms out but used all the other ingredients to create a wonderful dish.

The ingredients included:
Chimichurri Seasoning
Cremini Mushrooms
Garlic Cloves
Grated Parmesan
Kale
Light Cream
Precooked 5-Cheese Tortellini
Red Pepper Flakes
Shallot
As usual, the prep took the longest but this is a great quick meal idea for the week. After mincing the shallot and garlic and chopping kale, I began to cook the pasta. Since it is precooked, the recipe calls for only 3-4 mins of cooking but I kept it in the pot for about 9-10 minutes. The next step calls for making the “sauce” by adding the mushrooms to the pan to cook, adding kale, shallot, garlic and seasoning blend, pasta cooking water and cream. Lastly, transfer the tortellini and parmesan to the sauce pan and stir before plating your dish and garnishing with red pepper flakes to taste.
