QC NY Spa
This spa is definitely a gift to be had, so I treated myself to a visit for my birthday. That doesn’t mean there weren’t any snags, so keep reading to hear more.
I headed there bright and early since I had a massage appointment at 10:30 AM. The ferry ride is included with your spa visit and from the city was less than 10 minutes long. Once I got checked in and paid (there was a very long line for a Monday btw) I headed upstairs to prep for my session. The changing room has everything you need including Dyson blow dryers, showers, lotion, etc. I put my things in the locker and headed up to the massage area. I got there and was told that my therapist was not there and I should head back to the front desk to let them know. After waiting in another line I was told that two therapists called out and I wouldn’t be getting my massage that day, Happy Birthday to me I guess. After getting my refund I just decided to make the most of it and explore the rest of the spa grounds.
I started on the bottom level where there were a ton of steam rooms as well as a foot soak area. I stayed in there for a bit before heading out to the pool. The outdoor pool is heated, so you can still enjoy it even in the cold weather. I laid my stuff out on a lounge chair in view before soaking in the pool. It was a beautiful day with so much sun. Before long I exited and took a little nap in my lounger before heading in for lunch.
I didn’t have high expectations for lunch, so I tried to make do. I had a quinoa bowl and a fruit cup along with a margarita. The bowl I could’ve done without for sure, the margarita was strong and the fruit cup was really good. If you do visit, just go with expectations that you will be eating a light meal lol.
After my lunch I headed upstairs to visit the rest of the rooms on the remaining floors, they even had an upside down room. After I visited everything, I went back to the changing room to get ready to head home. I made it to the ferry line and boarded before sitting on top to enjoy the nice weather.
Outside of not getting my massage the spa itself was really nice. Probably not something I would do often due to pricing, but I could see it as a treat every once in a while.
Heads up: weekdays are cheaper than weekends and probably less crowded as well. There also run deals every so often, so keep an eye out.
