Museum of Illusions
Hey Slayers! I’m backkkk lol. So if you guys haven’t heard yet, the Museum of Illusions is officially open in NYC. A friend of mine wanted to go earlier this Summer but it was only open on Thursdays and we just never got around to it, but after promoting their newly renovated museum, which is now open everyday, I hit her up and we bought out tickets.
The great thing about the Museum of Illusions is that when you buy a ticket (only $19 by the way), there is no date on the ticket which makes it open ended and very convenient for visitors to come at anytime. We ended up going in on a group last Thursday and it was so much fun.
I was late, but when I got there we got started right away. I’m not going to walk through everything being showcased but they have lots of interactive rooms and installations. A couple of my faves included the gravity room which legit made you feel like you were wearing drunk goggles, the upside down room which allowed you to take a pic that looks like you are posing on the wall, and lastly the magic box installation that literally serves your head on a platter.
We spent maybe an hour at the museum and had a great time. I will say the illusions really made you think and the museum is great for all ages. If you are interested in attending the address is 77 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY, 10014. Tickets are $19 for Adults, $15 for Children, $53 for a Family ticket and $17 for a Student/Military/Senior ticket.
