House of Macallan
Now listen here, I am not a whisky person, but the right cocktail can get your there. The House of Macallan event had me worried with my first drink (it was STRONG), but honey the rest of the drinks had me feeling nice.
I attended this event on my actual birthday, solo, because sometimes I love going out solo. I have heard of the event from last year, but this year it was held in Williamsburg at the most beautiful venue, The Weylin. I entered the venue and immediately was transported to a luxurious garden. There is so much history behind the brand and I learned bit by bit. I was given my first cocktail before heading upstairs.
The upstairs level opened up to a beautiful ballroom with high ceilings and a bar in the middle. The organizers had h’ourdeauves being passed around and some more history of the brand along the walls. There was also a live band playing which was beautiful. After capturing some content, I headed to the bar for another cocktail. I think they knew these drinks were strong because they had water set up for everybody as well lol. After another drink, I called it an evening and headed home.
