SKIMS NYC Pop-Up

Skims is my guilty pleasure, I just love their products especially their undergarments. Their pop up in NYC opened on my birthday, so I headed over to Rockerfeller Center early to check it out.

I made it there a little after 10 AM and there was already a line (pop up opened at 10). The line wasn’t horrible the problem was that it wasn’t moving quickly.I didn’t get in until a bit after 12 PM, thank God it was warm and they handed out water. Once I got inside I realized why it took so long to get inside. The space was pretty small and they assigned 3 customers to 1 employee for help.

You could look at the items and hold it up to yourself to size it. Once you decided on what item and size you wanted, you let the employee know and they would search these drawers for the item. Then when ready to check out they carry the items to the counter for you and you can pay. You get this cute bag and upon exiting they gave those people who purchased items a Skims ice cream bar. By the time I got out, there were no bars left 😩.

Once I finished I decided to head to Del Frisco’s Grille for some takeout before heading home to prep for my next event.

Overall Thoughts: A cute idea for sure. I think we needed more product variety and a bigger space. I can just shop online instead.
