5 Ways to Win at Social Distancing
Hey Slayers!!
Some of y’all are working from home like me or some of y’all are just off from work and inside because of the Rona (Coronavirus). Social distancing is at its finest right now. Now don’t fret and start thinking about how bored you will be inside, but instead find ways to stay sane. Here’s my list of 5 ways to win at social distancing.
#QuarantineandChill
Regardless if you happen to be stuck inside alone or not, you have today’s media right in your hands. Of course we know that this hashtag is a play on #NetflixandChill but don’t just limit yourself to that one streaming service. That is only one option besides Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. Catch up on some of your favorite shows or binge a new series. Oh by the way, Netflix recently created Netflix Party which is an extension you can install on your Google Chrome browser. You can watch a show with your friends and chat as you watch.
Start a New Hobby
Have a new blog/vlog idea? Want to venture out with a new side hustle? Start working on it now! This is prime time to get things started and some of those things might have you earning money right away.
Workout
In NYC the commercial gyms have been closed, but you can still workout at home. If you don’t have your own exercises in mind, visit YouTube and find some workout vids. Best thing about it…it’s free!
FaceTime Party
Mostly everybody is inside so instead of meeting up with your friends for brunch, dress up and eat brunch with your friends via video chat. My friends and I plan on having a FaceTime Netflix party on Saturday and I can’t wait.
Learn a new TikTok Dance
Since everybody has been inside, they have resorted to posting TikTok vids. There are a couple of dance challenges out right now that are easy to learn and that you can put your own spin on. It’s a great way to stay active and have fun.
I know that the thought of staying inside can be daunting, but here’s some cool ways to enjoy. Remember that this is a trying time for everybody and it is stressful for many. Let’s keep high spirits with good energy! Til next time!
